Privacy Policy
LofiHood is designed as a local-first macOS app. This policy explains what data the app handles and how support requests are managed.
Summary
No account, no ads, and no cross-app tracking in the Mac app. LofiHood does not sell personal data or build an advertising profile.
Website analytics
The LofiHood website may use Vercel Analytics to understand page visits and site performance. This website analytics data is separate from your local app library and is not used to build an advertising profile.
Data stored on your Mac
Albums, imported audio files, artwork, playback preferences, mood and kind selections, timer state, launch-at-login preference, and shortcut settings are stored locally on your Mac. You can delete imported content from the app or remove the app and its local data from macOS.
Network use
If you use direct audio URL import, LofiHood contacts the source you choose to download or read the audio you requested. Direct audio imports may include MP3, M4A, AAC, WAV, AIFF, and FLAC URLs. The remote service may receive information such as your IP address and the requested URL under its own policy.
Direct-download builds may contact the LofiHood website update feed through Sparkle to check for app updates.
LofiHood may contact GitHub-hosted release files to check for and download the built-in music library. This download is separate from your local albums and imported audio files.
Purchases
In the Mac App Store build, LofiHood Pro is purchased through Apple In-App Purchase. Apple processes payment information and provides purchase entitlement status to the app so Pro features can be unlocked or restored.
In the direct-download build, Pro may be purchased through Lemon Squeezy. Lemon Squeezy processes checkout and emails a license key. The app stores the activated license key and device activation identifier in the macOS Keychain and may contact Lemon Squeezy to activate or validate the license.
Support email
If you contact support, the email address you use and the content of your message are used only to reply, investigate issues, and improve LofiHood. Support messages are retained only as long as needed for those purposes unless a longer period is required by law.
Children
LofiHood is not directed to children under 13 and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.
